A Cambridge company has won contracts to refurbish heating systems at three Cambridgeshire schools.
Kershaw Contracting Services has been contracted under the Cambridgeshire County Council Framework Contract to refurbish the heating systems at Alconbury Primary School, Cottenham Village College, and Murrow Primary School in Wisbech.
The central heating, asbestos removal and domestic insulation company is based in Cottenham, and is part of the city’s famous Kershaw Group.
Managing director Mick Rayson said: “It’s important for a local company to work for the county council. We are looking forward to completing the work, giving these schools reliable heating systems for the cold winters ahead.”
Kershaw Contracting Services recently announced more than half a million pounds of other new orders across the UK.
It was also rewarded for its long-term commitment to excellent health and safety by being accepted into the exclusive SAFEcontractor programme.
Kershaw Contracting Services is a division of the Cambridge-based Kershaw Group.
Parts of the group have a history stretching back 120 years. It employs 183 people and is well known for its involvement in the community.
