A well-known Cottenham company has been chosen to work on two new veterinary-related construction projects in Cambridgeshire.
Kershaw Contracting Services – part of the well-known Kershaw Group – will be installing insulation for the new student resource centre, at the Department of Veterinary Medicine.
The new building in Madingley Road is part of the University of Cambridge.
Kershaw is completing the £11,000 contract for contractors R G Carter.
It has also been selected to install roof insulation and fire barriers for a new hostel building at the National Stud in Newmarket, in a £6,000 contract.
“We work with hundreds of companies across the UK every year, but it’s always good to work on two quality projects close to home,” said managing director Ian Macklin.
“High levels of insulation and fire protection in the roof voids is essential for new buildings of this kind. We’re delighted to have been chosen to work on these projects.”
Kershaw Contracting Services is part of the Kershaw Group, which can trace parts of its history back 120 years.
It employs 183 people and is well known for its involvement in the community, including continuing to be a main shirt sponsor of Cambridge United.
